Summary Job Description:
The role, responsibilities and performance of this position are crucial to company's success. The primary responsibility of this position is prospecting and closing new customers while managing existing customer relationships. The company will support the sales effort by utilizing contact management software and a variety of marketing vehicles to maintain communications with the Director’s “book of business” and a significant database of new prospects. This person is also responsible for the gathering of important facility energy data and sharing this info with the supply management group so they may facilitate the various procurement processes. An annual revenue goal comprised of monthly management and supplier transaction fees will be set with some input by the sales rep. It is very important for this goal to be achieved or exceeded. In addition, an annual customer retention goal will be set. It is the salesperson’s responsibility to manage and renew all their customer contracts.

A minimum of 5 years as a top performer in outside sales for energy and or other industrial commodities is preferred. Similarly, individuals having 5 years or more experience as a top performer selling professional energy management services will be strongly considered. Experience should be in midwestern or northeastern states and a current “book of business” with key decision makers and senior management is highly advantageous. The individual should be a self-starter, very well disciplined and have the ability to work autonomously and prioritize work effectively.

Compensation for this position consists of a base salary plus commissions commensurate with experience, actual performance, skills and abilities. The company also offers an annual cash bonus plan based on the profitability of the company. Company paid benefits include medical and a tax deferred retirement savings plan with a company match.
